Jon S. McGill Sr

Jon S. McGill Sr. is a proud husband and father of two girls and a boy.  He is a dedicated family man and is actively involved in his community.  He has a strong desire to help small business owners, as he is a small business owner himself and understands the challenges associated with this role.  He is also dedicated to the pursuit of justice for all.  He has represented individuals from all walks of life and several types of businesses.  He has practiced in many areas of the law.  He has a committment to ethics and integrity above all else.

Background
Jon grew up in the Southeast United States, and entered the Air Force after high school. His background includes numerous roles at squadron, wing, headquarters and combatant command levels. He began his Air Force career as an armament systems specialist (bomb-loader on fighter aircraft). He was stationed at Tyndall AFB, FL and Aviano AB, Italy and worked F-15Cs and F-16s.  As a bomb-loader, he was involved in Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, NORTHERN WATCH, ALLIED FORCE, and the initial stages of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.  In 2003, he transferred into the intelligence career field as an Operations Intelligence Analyst.  He deployed to Iraq as part of a special counter-terrorism task force.  Following a one-year tour at Osan AB, Republic of Korea, he was selected to attend the National Defense Intelligence College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Intelligence.  From there, he landed at United States Central Command Headquarters, Target Intelligence Branch.  Prior to assuming duties as branch superintendent, he was a current operations targeting officer and the NCOIC of Current Ops and Special Activities.  In 2009, Jon began his first year of law school with Stetson University College of Law in the part-time program while working full time.  In 2012, Jon was selected to serve as the first-ever Air Force Targeting Manager for Air Force Headquarters,at the Pentagon.  Jon retired from the Air Force as a Senior-Master Sergeant in 2014 to begin his legal career.  He moved to Gretna, Louisiana and opened his practice in July 2015.
